You’re Not Struggling Due to Lack of Opportunities, but Lack of Extraction

Stop searching outside for what’s already inside. Opportunity isn’t something you find, it’s something you unlock within yourself. However, most people never go deep enough.

Take the Middle East, which has been in the news lately.

One of the most naturally inhospitable regions in the world, defined by arid landscapes, desert-like climate, extreme heat, scarce rainfall, and long-standing regional conflict. By every natural measure, it should have remained a place people escape from, not run toward.

Yet over the last two decades, it has transformed into one of the world’s premier residential and vacation destinations. Cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi have become global magnets, drawing people from the most developed nations to the least developed, all relocating in pursuit of opportunity.

Why?

Oil.

A resource buried deep beneath the surface, unseen, inaccessible, and useless until it was discovered, extracted, and traded. That hidden potential reshaped an entire region and turned it into a global center of attraction.

In other words, something buried within overcame everything working against it.

The World Rewards What You Extract, Not What You Have. Potential is useless until it is discovered, extracted, and traded.

What this teaches us:

  1. Everything that will make you outstanding is already buried inside of you.

  2. What you chase externally can be attracted internally, by trading your own potential.

  3. The deeper your potential, the more valuable it is.

  4. Unfortunately, the deeper it is, the harder it is for others to recognize.

  5. The deeper it is, the harder it is to extract, but the greater the reward when you do.

This is why many people remain stuck, not because they lack potential, but because their greatest assets aren’t visible or immediately valued, so they don’t spend the effort to extract it. They abandon what is most valuable.

Everything you are chasing can be attracted, if you learn how to extract and trade what is within you.

1.      Your responsibility is to identify your unique combination of strengths, and build your business around it.

2.      You don’t extract deep potential alone. Just like the Middle East didn’t rise on oil alone, but on the expertise, infrastructure, and global partnerships that enabled its extraction, you must also leverage external forces.

3.      Study others operating in your field of potential. Buy the books. Take the courses. Build the network.

4.      Position yourself around people and systems that can help you extract, refine, and trade your value.

Your potential is not the problem. Your ability to extract and deploy it is.
