Why You Are Still Underpaid

To survive, every business must make a profit, which generally means they make products or services cheaper than what they sell them for. Look around you, everything you see was made lower than what you bought it for. This applies to every product including electronics, furniture, cars, groceries, including the phone, tablet or computer you have in your hand right now. Unfortunately, this applies to human beings as well. If you have a job in any industry, irrespective of how lucrative it appears, or your job title, it is almost a given that you are underpaid. Businesses have perfected the art and science of paying workers far lower than what they are worth. The real trick that businesses play is to pay you high enough to keep you happy, but simultaneously blind you to the reality of your true worth. Your true value is never how much you are paid. Depending on where you are in the world and what you do, you may be paid 2 -100 times lower than your true value or even more. Unfortunately, too many people are happy being underpaid, dancing to the music, while very few seek to be paid their true worth. The journey towards wealth starts when you understand your true worth and seek to capitalize on it. This is how you can break free from anchored compensation. Are you still dancing to the music or are you ready to walk out of the party into wealth?

Thanks for this thought provoking insights. Also, I think complacency is another reason why we as human tend not to understand our true worth. Hence, it hard to break free from anchored compensation.
