Overcoming the biggest roadblock to starting a business

Starting a business often appears daunting and complex. The inertia to starting is so strong that many great ideas remain unrealized, potential wealth is never created, and great destinies remain unfulfilled. For many, starting a business is both a lifelong dream and a scary proposition. What if it fails? What if there are no customers? What if the projections are incorrect? What if there is financial loss? What if raising capital proves challenging? Despite these uncertainties, both small and large businesses that exist today overcame the inertia and started. Want to start a business? Focus on taking small steps, not a big leap. Divide the business idea into the smallest possible steps and actions. If the steps are still too large, continue breaking them down until they become manageable. For example, if launching a music album overwhelms you, record yourself singing on your phone and post it on social media. If posting feels too daunting, share the video with family and close friends. If you want to invest in equity or real estate, start by having lunch with an experienced friend. Steps can be infinitely divided or multiplied. This allows you to divide the steps to a manageable level. Additionally, once you take the first step, you can proceed to the next one. If you are able to sell your product to one customer, it is possible to sell it to ten. If you can sell to ten customers, you can sell to a hundred. Each step can be scaled up. In product development, a minimum viable product (MVP) is an early prototype version that illustrates the product's viability, even though it may lack several key features. Businesses use MVPs to evaluate the feasibility of their business model. Similarly, can you distill your business idea into a minimum viable step? If you are considering baking a cake, your minimum viable step could be a small cupcake you bake for your colleagues. If they enjoy it, it indicates that you may have potential customers. With each step, you gain more confidence to take another. Each step brings more clarity to your destination. With every step, you demonstrate that your business is feasible. If fear persists, reduce the size of your steps until they feel comfortable, and this is how you can overcome the obstacle of inertia to starting a business.

Thank you Sir for this wonderful write up, in both physics and psychology, overcoming inertia usually requires a deliberate effort. I am motivated to start this journey!
